About us

We are a family run natural burial ground consisting of James, Clair, Emily and George. We have owned Castle View Farm in Bottesford since the 50s and were looking to diversify our farm and improve our commitment to the environment via a diversification venture that will compliment our existing passion for environmental stewardship schemes, and actually enhance the beauty of the site, so a natural burial ground seemed like the perfect option. Beacon Hill is very special to us as it has spectacular views and historic importance within our family, therefore we wanted to enable other people to experience the beauty of the site as well whilst preserving the landscape, ecology and sense of place for perpituity.

The 10-acre site has 360-degree views of the Vale of Belvoir and can accommodate in the region of 7,500 plots.

Our Aims

We aim to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible, this will be achieved by only allowing eco-friendly coffins and shrouds, and also by increasing the biodiversity of the site by planting woods in due course and a wildflower meadow, as well as providing habitats for animals such as bird boxes, hedgehog homes etc. We look forwards to you being a part of this growth and seeing the site grow with us over the future years.
